So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
Life is not a straight line.
No.
Life’s winners are not often the smartest, fastest or strongest.
Yes, Life is a concrete jungle with no rules.
Or so it would appear.
David the shepherd King writes in Psalm 31:23-24,
“The LORD protects those who are loyal to Him, but He harshly punishes the arrogant.
So be strong and courageous, all you who place your hope in the LORD.”
What incredibly good news!
In a world where the rat-race grind almost gets you nowhere fast, there is another way.
Jesus! Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
When we focus our attention on problems, we simple attract to ourselves even more problems.
Yet when we focus our attention on blessings, what happens…more blessings come our way!
You see, gratitude is the best attitude.
The LORD loves those who are loyal to Him.
Most people today are loyal to themselves.
Maybe that’s what Jesus meant when He said,
“If you lose your life for me, you will find it…
but if you save your life for yourself, you will lose it.”
Which one are you?
Life is short my friends.
And you want to take time to smell the flowers!
If your goal is riches, fame,
Pleasure, money, or power…it’s a short game and
the Casino of Life will take all you have.
On the other hand,
if your goal is to know Christ, the power of resurrection, and fellowship in His sufferings,
you have won the lottery of Life itself!
You see, a life for God means that all that happens to you, the good, the bad and ugly all work out for the best for you in the end.
This only happens to believers who trusts and obeys Christ.
Simply ‘thinking’ that all will work out for the best for you without Christ is a formula for eternal disaster!
We all get discouraged.
When everything seems to be off, down, off balanced or just not fair!
Listen to King David’s poem/song, ‘Be strong and courageous because your hope in
God will never fail you.
That’s right!
We can be strong and courageous rather than weak and discouraged
because we focus on
Pleasing God rather than merely pleasing ourselves.
So, what’s your decision?
Did you know God loves faith?
in fact God acknowledges faith and REWARDS faith.
Here is the take home:
Rather than faith in yourself…place all your
Trust in the LORD… Do not depend on your own mind, logic or human reasoning.
Place the LORD first in your life, and the LORD will make your life far more greater
than you dare to imagine. Yes, Faith moves mountains!
